so i've been emailing one of the kids from thailand named Earth (yes...isn't it a cute name?) and he recently sent me this email that i thought was adorable:

anyway, i just thought it was cute/funny.
BLAH i am still currently jobless and all i've been doing is cleaning my room and helping around the house. what a fun summer eh? anyway, let's hang out or have a Des Moines day or something

so i have returned from thailand. how do i feel? excited! tired. missing it. reflective.
there's so much to tell that xanga doesn't do it justice. so seriously ASK me. MEET with me. and if you can't, what you SHOULD know is that God is good, and that He loves Thailand and the people there, and that if you get the chance to go, you should.
i would post some pictures of the adorable kids from the basketball camp, but i'm using my ancient computer that doesn't have pictures. sad. i'll try and make a slideshow or something else that will make me cry later
thanks again for all the support and prayers. i know that it was only through God using all of you that i was able to see Him and demonstrate His love over there.

sooo long time no update. just some quick ponderings:
1) the year is ending! exciting? yes. over? no. what's really cool is that i have been truly blessed by some friendships i've made and built upon in the past couple weeks, and God has done some pretty amazing things in a short period of time. i'm excited to know that God STILL has a ton to do during the rest of this quarter, even if time seems short.
2) family+friends+basketball+God = THAILAND! i'm leaving in about 4 weeks...thanks for all the prayers and support. i'm anxious, but also incredibly excited!
3) apples to apples is probably the best game ever invented. period.
4) music/lyrics make me really emo.
5) currently learning how to sit still and just BE with God.
hmm yes. that's about it for now.
